HTC Sensation, the flagship Android-based mobile phone that was unveiled to the world a few months ago, is expected to become available for purchase in Canada through Virgin Mobile too in the near future, with a price tag lower than what Bell might ask for it.

Rumor has it that the wireless carrier would plan on making the HTC Sensation available for purchase for its customers for only $499.99, contract free.

For comparison, the smartphone is expected to make an appearance on shelves at Bell featuring a retail value of $549.95, which means that Virgin Mobile will have it for $50 less.

Moreover, it appears that another Android-based mobile phone from HTC, the Wildfire S, might be on its way to the wireless carrier as well, also cheaper.

The smartphone was launched at Bell for $249.95, and it will go for $50 less at Virgin Mobile, since it will be price at $199.99.

For the time being, nothing is confirmed on the matter, and all these are only rumors, though it might all be officially unveiled in the not-too-distant future.

We should also note that the off-contract price tag of HTC Sensation at Bell was not unveiled either, since the handset is set to land only on July 5th.

Both the Sensation and the Wildfire S should prove great options for Canadian mobile phone users, depending on the features they are looking for in a device.

The Sensation is a high-end smartphone, featuring a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, a dual-core 1.2GHz application processor, an 8-megapixel photo snapper, and the ability to provide users with increased performance capabilities.

The HTC Wildfire S comes as an affordable Android device that still sports a great deal of appealing features, including a fast CPU, 5-megapixel camera, microSD memory card slot, and support for Google Mobile services and for applications available from the Android Market.
