HTC India announced the availability of the Sensation XE smartphone last week for $680 (510 EUR) outright. Today, the company introduced another Beats Audio handset, the HTC Sensation XL, which will be available for purchase for US$750 (560 EUR) off-contract.

Although the smartphone has yet to hit stores, HTC India stated that the Sensation XL will arrive in stores within the next few days.

The HTC Sensation XL is a high-end smartphone, which is delivered with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board and HTC Sense 3.5 user interface on top.

However, the Taiwanese handset manufacturer promised that an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the Sensation XL will be deployed next year.

According to the folks over at AndroidOS, the HTC Sensation XL is the most expensive Android smartphone available in the Indian market to date.

Either it’s worth the money or not, the Sensation XL is surely packing lots of top notch features that offers users great multimedia, Internet browsing and gaming experiences.

In this regard, the HTC Sensation XL is equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8255 CPU, which is complemented by an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit.

The device packs 16GB of internal memory and 768 MB of RAM, but lacks microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Another strong point of the Sensation XL is the brilliant 4.7-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen, which supports 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

There’s also an 8-megapixel rear camera that can record HD videos, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

With Beats Audio, the HTC Sensation XL continues HTC’s commitment of delivering the best audio possible on your phone whether you’re listening to music, watching a movie or playing a game. This is an amazing example of why our partnership with Beats makes so much sense for customers today and into the future,” said Faisal Siddiqui, country head, HTC India.
