One of the three HTC smartphones that integrate Beats Audio hardware, the HTC Sensation XE will soon be available for purchase in India.

It looks like Indian Android fans who are looking for an excellent music-oriented smartphone can now pre-order the HTC Sensation XE for Rs 32,400 ($660 or 480 EUR) via Flipkart.

According to the retailer, customers who pre-order the handset should expect to receive their devices next week.

Although there's no confirmation of the phone's exact release date, it shouldn't take more than a week for Flipkart to receive the first stock of Sensation XE units.

HTC Sensation XE is the result of the collaboration between the Taiwanese handset maker and Dr. Dre's Beats company, which was recently officialized.

Even though all HTC smartphones with Beats Audio are tagged as high-end devices, they come with slightly different features, though they are aimed at the same segment of the market.

The first HTC smartphones with Beats audio are the Sensation XE, Sensation XL and Rezound, but other devices are likely to be launched in early 2012.

The HTC Sensation XE is powered by Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, but is likely to receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade sometime next year.

In this regard, the handset maker announced that its recently announced HTC Rezound with Beats Audio will get the Ice Cream Sandwich flavor next year.

Furthermore, the Sensation XE is equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM 8260 Snapdragon processor, an Adreno 220 graphics processing unit, 4GB on internal memory (1 GB user available), 768 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Another strong point of the Sensation XE is the stunning 4.3-inch qHD Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors support and 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

Stay tuned for more updates on the matter, as the HTC Sensation XE goes live in India.
