Put on a coming soon page at T-Mobile UK only recently, the HTC Sensation is already available for purchase in the UK via this wireless carrier, for free on monthly contracts that start at £40.85 a month.

The smartphone was unveiled to the world back in April with Google's Android operating system on board, and is one of the most powerful handsets on shelves at the moment.

The HTC Sensation packs a 1.2GHz dual-core application processor inside, complemented by 768MB of RAM and 1GB of internal memory, and sports the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with the HTC Sense 3.0 UI loaded on top of it.

At T-Mobile UK, the handset can be acquired for free on a monthly plan that will deliver 1200 minutes, 500 texts, Flexible Booster, and Unlimited Internet, as long as customers commit to a 24-month agreement.

On the front, the new mobile phone features a 4.3-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a qHD (540 X 960) resolution, said to prove great when it comes to browsing the Internet on the phone, or viewing photos and videos while on the go.

The HTC Sensation also sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with dual LED flash, auto focus and support for recording videos in high-definition, along with a secondary camera on the front, to enable video calling.

It also includes support for 3G networks, as well as WiFi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, and a micro-USB 2.0 port that would cover mobile high-definition video link (MHL) for USB and HDMI connectivity.

The specifications list of the new device also includes built-in GPS receiver, as well as a 1520 mAh Rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that can offer up to 6 hours of talk time or up to 384 hours of standby time.

FM radio, music player, a fast Internet browser and various multimedia capabilities were included into the mix as well, along with support for applications available through the Android Market, or for various mobile services from Google.
