HTC Radar 4G has already been confirmed by Videotron, but the carrier has yet to unveil the official release date of the smartphone. Today, another Canadian operator confirmed it would carry the Radar 4G, SaskTel.

The smartphone is already listed at the regional carrier’s site as “Coming Soon,” but no addition details are available for the moment.

HTC Radar was unveiled back in September 2011, along with the HTC Titan. Both smartphones were showcased at IFA 2011, in Berlin.

The smartphone is shipped with the latest Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system on board and features HTC proprietary Locations application.

SaskTel hopes that customers will be able to “master social networking with an intuitive phone that has your life front and centre. The HTC Radar 4G uses Windows Phone 7.5 OS to make staying connected to everything a fun and easy process.”

The newest mobile platforms released by Microsoft, Windows Phone 7.5 allows users to switch between Facebook chat, text and Windows Live Messenger via “Threads.”

HTC Radar 4G has a 3.8-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors. Corning Gorilla Glass coating is available as well, along with the usual touch-sensitive keys.

Hardware-wise, the Radar 4G is a mid-range smartphone powered by a 1 GHz single core Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor and an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit.

On the inside, the smartphone packs 8GB of internal memory and 512MB of RAM. There is no microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Other highlights of the HTC Radar 4G includes: 4G and Wi-Fi support, 5-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus and LED flash, as well as VGA front-facing camera.

The Radar should be available on the market in three colors, Active White and Metal Silver, but SaskTel seems to advertise only the white-themed version.
