Windows Phone Mango, the next flavor of Microsoft's mobile operating system, is on its way to the market with two new smartphones from Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC, namely the HTC TITAN and the HTC Radar.

The latter is expected to arrive on shelves as a more affordable device, which will still offer great capabilities to its users, while the former should hit the shelves as a high-end handset with top-line features, and with a price tag to match its performance.

Both handsets were brought to the IFA 2011 show in Berlin, and Softpedia's editors took the time to have a look at them, and came up with photos and videos with both devices.

Following the hands-on photos with HTC Radar, it was high time we had a better look at the HTC TITAN as well, which should impress a lot of people with its extra large 4.7-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Beneath that screen, the handset sports a fast 1.5GHz application processor, complemented by 512 MB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory (apparently, the storage space can not be expanded via microSD cards).

The mobile phone also comes with HSDPA 14.4 Mbps / HSUPA 5.76 Mbps capabilities, as well as with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, DLNA, microUSB, and 3.5mm headphone jack, and with built-in GPS receiver with support for Bing Maps.

HTC included an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back of this mobile phone, with auto focus and LED flash, which can deliver HD video recording capabilities, and also placed a 1.3MP camera on the front, so as to offer video calling capabilities.

The HTC TITAN also sports the usual set of sensors, measures 131.5 x 70.7 x 9.9 mm and weighs in at 160 grams. It is powered by a Li-Ion 1600 mAh battery that can offer up to 11 hours of talk time, or up to 460 hours of standby time.

The TITAN was one of the first smartphones in the world to be unveiled with the new Windows Phone Mango operating system, and is expected to arrive on shelves sometime in October.
