Mobile phone carrier AT&T is readying the launch of more than just new Android-based smartphones, some of the latest rumors on the matter suggest. Along with the already spotted new mobile phones from HTC, set to land at the wireless carrier with LTE-connectivity on board, users should also have the opportunity to purchase a tablet PC from the handset vendor, also with support for the faster network.

The new device would arrive on shelves with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, unlike the other tablet PC from HTC, the Flyer, which has a screen of only 7-inches.

We already had the chance to have a look at this tablet before, but specific info on its capabilities were not available at that time, something that changed now.

Rumor has it that the HTC Puccini would land at AT&T with a 1.5GHz application processor inside, while being powered by Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system.

Moreover, the new device would include support for LTE connectivity, and should also support the Scribe Pen technology that the smaller HTC Flyer tablet already offers.

The device would pack a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8660 dual core processor inside, and a 10.1-inch screen capable of delivering a WXGA resolution (800 x 1280 pixels).

Unfortunately, no other details on the new tablet PC emerged for the time being, but we might expect it to arrive with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity on board too, as well as with a built-in GPS receiver.

Moreover, it could arrive with a microSD memory card slot, as well as with front and rear cameras, to enable users shoot videos or make video calls while on the go.

However, it remains to be seen when would this device become available for purchase in the United States, and what price tag it would sport at that time. It's unclear at the moment whether it would actually sport the HTC Puccini name when available.
