HTC has just introduced its flagship smartphone in India, thus confirming earlier reports suggesting that HTC One will go on sale in the country on April 22.

According to AndroidOS, HTC One will be available for purchase later this month for no less than Rs 42,900 outright, which is about $785 or €605.

The smartphone will go on sale at various retailers, but the Taiwanese handset maker has also confirmed that it has partnered with Indian carrier Reliance Communications and will provide 1GB of 3G data free for 3 months to all buyers.

In addition, those who purchase the HTC One on its airwaves will also receive free WhatsApp Messenger and Facebook access for 3 months.

Keep in mind that HTC’s official announcement claims that the smartphone will hit shelves in late April, but rumor has it that HTC One is likely to be available from April 22, so stay tuned for more on this one.

As expected, HTC One will ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, integrated with the latest HTC Sense 5.0 UI.

Furthermore, the smartphone will come pre-loaded with several innovative services and apps, including HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe, HTC BoomSound and HTC Sense TV.

Another strong point of the phone is the impressive 4-Ultrapixel rear-facing camera, featuring autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. An additional front-facing 2.1-megapixel camera is included as well.

On the inside, HTC One is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, which is complemented by an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The device packs 32GB/64GB of internal memory, but no microSD card slot for memory expansion. It also boasts a stunning 4.7-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.
