Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced on Tuesday the launch of its e-commerce site for mobile-phone users in the United States. According to the company, users in the country are now offered the possibility to browse and purchase a range of HTC mobile phones and accessories, not to mention that they can also activate their devices through selecting rate plans from one of the four nationwide US operators.

“As HTC continues to grow its brand and customer base, we believe it is important to have one place for our customers to find very best devices, plans and accessories to match their lifestyle and needs. Personal choice guides our products, and it is also what we are looking to bring to the online shopping experience that we are announcing today,” Jason Mackenzie, vice president of HTC America, said. “We realize that there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to smartphones and service plans, which is why HTC is committed to delivering an experience that makes it easy to find the right solution for individual needs.”

According to the handset vendor, the site will offer customers mobile-phone options filtered according to carrier, type of rate plan and desired features. Moreover, as soon as the user has made a decision and checks out, the activated devices and accessory orders of at least $50 are sent without shipping charges. Not to mention that the mobile-phone maker will also provide a 15-day money back guarantee, enabling users to return any purchased equipment within the time frame with no charges being applied. Furthermore, users can also finalize their purchases over the phone.

HTC's e-commerce site can be accessed at www.shopamerica.htc.com. Users will find there not only mobile phones available for purchase, but also a series of hard-to-find accessories, which will offer them the possibility to personalize the experience their handsets can offer. Among the items listed on the new site, the company counts wrist straps and gel skins, as well as home audio cables or international travel kits, all of which have been put in one place for the first time.
