HTC Kingdom is one of the mobile phones that Taiwanese handset vendor HTC Corporation was long rumored to plan on bringing to the market in the United States, and which was still not introduced in an official manner.

However, it appears that it might not be too long before the mobile phone maker brings the device to shelves, and that it will be released on the airwaves of numerous wireless carriers in the country.

Previous rumors suggested that operators like Alltel or Sprint will receive the new device, and it seems that US Cellular might also carry it.

Not too long ago, the HTC Kingdom was rumored to be headed for Alltel as the HTC Acquire, and to arrive on shelves at Sprint as the EVO Design 4G.

Apparently, US Cellular will receive it under a different name, HTC Hero S, though with similar specs and capabilities.

Nothing was officially confirmed on the availability of this device at various wireless carriers in the United States, but it seems that all should be unveiled in the near future.

The smartphone is expected to arrive on shelves with a 1.2GHz application processor inside, a single-core Snapdragon CPU, complemented by 768MB of RAM, and capable of offering pretty appealing performance capabilities.

Moreover, the new device should land on the market with a 4-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a qHD resolution, and with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for HD video recording. A front-facing camera should offer users the possibility to make and receive video calls.

The handset is also expected to arrive with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, as well as with a microSD memory card slot for expanding the internal storage, and with Google's Android platform on board.

No specific details on the availability of the new mobile phone have been unveiled for the time being, nor on its price tag, but more should emerge soon, so stay tuned.
