HTC Incredible S, the latest flagship Android-based smartphone the Taiwan-based handset vendor HTC announced during the ongoing year, is now available for purchase in Germany with a price tag of €495.99 attached to it, via Amazon. According to the online retailer, the handset would normally sport a price tag of €519, but has got it cost slashed a little.

Featuring a large 4-inch touchscreen display, the HTC Incredible S is among the most appealing Android phones to arrive on shelves this year, even if it does not pack a dual-core application processor, as other new smartphones do.

The handset runs under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, but is expected to receive an upgrade to the newer Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS soon.

The specifications list of this handset would also include a 1 GHz application processor, complemented by 768 MB of RAM, as well as 1.1 GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.

The mobile phone also comes with an 8 megapixel color camera with auto focus and dual LED flash on the back, with 720p HD video recording capabilities, as well as with a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front for video recording.

The Android device also sports a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, Standard micro-USB, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options, as well as G-Sensor, Digital compass, Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor.

Moreover, it packs a 1450 mAh battery inside, capable of offering up to 380 minutes of talk time, or up to 370 hours of standby time.

With a built-in GPS antenna, it would offer support for location based applications. The phone also includes a wide range of Google Mobile Services, including Gmail, YouTube, Search, Gtalk, and more, as well as access to the Android Market, where users would find a wide range of applications available for download.
