It is no mystery that Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has its handsets named one way during the development process and that they are usually launching them under completely different names on the market, and it appears that the recently leaked HTC Holiday will suffer a similar fate.

The mobile phone is expected to become available for purchase in the not-too-distant future on the airwaves of AT&T in the United States, and should hit the market as the HTC Raider, some of the latest rumors on the matter suggest.

The name is not new, as the leading mobile phone maker filed for trademark a while ago, as revealed back in July.

HTC Raider is only one of the mobile phones that HTC is expected to bring to shelves in the United States before the end of the ongoing year, and which might be released in a series of other markets as well.

For the time being, when released, the new device should prove a great option for all those who are looking for a high-end, powerful smartphone.

Rumor has it that the HTC Raider would be set to arrive on the market with a large 4.5-inch touchscreen display on the front, complemented by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 application processor.

The display is said to be boasting a qHD (540 x 960 pixel) resolution, while the CPU is accompanied by 1GB of RAM.

On the back, the mobile phone is said to sport dual eight-megapixel cameras, complemented by a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front, to enable video calling.

With Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread on board and Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity options, the mobile phone will certainly have to offer all the capabilities that users are looking for in a smartphone today.

The handset is also said to be packing support for AT&T's LTE network that is about to be fired-up, and might be set to arrive on shelves at Bell in Canada as well.
