We already know a lot about HTC’s unannounced smartphones, which are to be revealed this weekend in Barcelona, Spain.

Opposite to what the company stated a few weeks ago, HTC will continue to launch lots of smartphones on the market.

The handset maker expressed its concerns about the latest financial results reported for Q4 2011 and confirmed plans to release fewer models, instead focusing on offering high-quality services.

In this regard, rumor has it that HTC might announce its own music streaming services, which will be available for free on all Beats Audio smartphones, or possibly on all HTC Android-based phones.

Anyway, HTC is gearing up for an important launch event that is set to kick off on February 26, one day ahead of Mobile World Congress 2012 opening. According to the latest hearsay, the company plans to debut a brand new series of smartphones dubbed “HTC One.”

Every device in the new series will be named with a single letter, but HTC will probably reveal more details on this on February 26.

For the time being, we know that HTC will announce three smartphones and a tablet, though the number may be higher. Some say there will be 5 devices in total (4 phones and 1 tablet), or 5 smartphones.

HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC One E are certain to make their debut at the MWC this weekend, but there’s also a mysterious HTC One XL that might be introduced as well. However, we know nothing about this device for the moment.

Until then HTC is teasing on its Facebook page that “something fast” is coming at the MWC. Many think that this might be a hint to HTC One X’s quad-core CPU, which is based on NVIA’s Tegra 3 4 cores + 1 companion core architecture. You can check it here.
