Taiwanese mobile-phone maker HTC Corporation announced about a month ago the official launch of its high-end Windows Mobile 6.5-based HTC HD2 handset, and also stated about a week ago that the device was set to become available for purchase in Europe in mid-November, while other markets would see it a little later. The phone, one should agree, looks more than appealing, with its large display and thin form factor, but, if you were wondering how it looked on the inside, here's your chance.

There are indeed people who are very interested in what a high-end mobile phone looks like on the inside, and one of them took the HTC HD2 and stripped it down completely. One can now clearly see what lies beneath that large 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, and how the Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor looks inside this Windows Mobile 6.5-powered device. The guys over at XDA-developers have an entire gallery of images with the disassembled phone, and you should head over there to see all of them.

And if that is not enough for you, and you want to see more of the HTC HD2, you can take a look at the video below, just to see how HD2's display acts when one tries to scratch it with a key, a knife and some scissors. Nothing amazing happens, actually nothing at all. The touchscreen display shows a very solid build quality, as it passes the tests successfully, with no scratch left on it.

In case you live in the UK and the inside of HTC HD2 and the video below impress you enough to want to buy your own piece of this beauty, you should be happy to learn that the phone is already available for purchase in the country. DeviceWire has had the HTC HD2 available on its website for £499.99 (VAT included), and it should also be available through other retailers in the UK.
