HTC EVO 4G, the first mobile phone to land on shelves with support for WiMAX connectivity while running under Google's Android operating system, has just arrived in a white flavor at Best Buy. Launched officially several weeks ago via wireless carrier Sprint, and its retail partners, the HTC EVO 4G is now available in white exclusively via Best Buy, as the company announced not too long ago.

But this is not all. It seems that, although the device was originally slated for availability come July 11, some lucky users already received the units they pre-ordered. At least two sources confirmed that the mobile phone is already shipping to select locations, though general availability at Best Buy won't arrive until this Sunday, that's for sure.

Since the white HTC EVO 4G started to arrive in customers' hands, something that has happened with other Android-based devices too lately, images with it already made it into the wild. Some of those lucky enough to receive their device took it for a spin, and you can have a closer look at the handset via the photos and video attached to this article.

In addition to being the first 4G-capable device that sports Google's Android operating system, the HTC EVO 4G is also the first device to mix support for Sprint's 3G network with support for Clearwire's WiMAX-based airwaves. Boasting a large 4.3-touchscreen display and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, the handset has all that it takes to offer an enhanced experience to its users.

Many Sprint customers already saw EVO 4G as a great option. The carrier has announced a while ago that the handset was out of stock, though it was put back on sale recently. With a white version available so as to spice things up a little, this Android device might remain the best selling phone at Sprint for quite some time.
