Today, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation made official a new Android-based mobile phone aimed at the market in South Korea, namely the HTC EVO 4G+. Previously leaked into the wild as the HTC Rider and tipped only recently as being set to land on shelves in as HTC EVO 4G+, the mobile phone is now present on HTC's website, and should soon hit the shelves on the Korean market.

Just as its name suggests, the HTC EVO 4G+ comes with support for 4G networks, the same as the original EVO 4G did, but also adds a series of enhancements into the mix.

The new mobile phone was built similarly with HTC's newly launched Sensation and EVO 3D, though it was specifically tailored for use on the Korean market.

The HTC EVO 4G+ comes with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a qHD (540 X 960 pixels) resolution, as well as with a fast dual-core 1.2GHz application processor packed inside.

The handset also sports 1GB of RAM and 1GB of ROM, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for additional storage space.

On the back, the HTC EVO 4G+ sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for 1080p HD video recording capabilities.

The specification list of this device also includes 3G connectivity (14.4 Mbps download speeds), IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0, and micro-USB 2.0 (5-pin) port with mobile high-definition video link (MHL) for USB or HDMI connection, along with 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The handset features GPS receiver as well, along with a 1730 mAh battery inside, capable of providing up to 440 minutes of talk time, or up to 270 hours of standby time.

The handset runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, with HTC Sense on top of it, and Facebook and Twitter integration. It also sports HTC's Friend Stream. HTC EVO 4G+ measures 126mm x 65mm x 12.05mm (4.96" x 2.56" x 0.47").
