HTC Sensation, the high-end smartphone that HTC brought to the market with Google's Android operating system only several weeks ago, is now available for purchase in the UK SIM-free and unlocked.

The mobile phone was already launched on the market in the UK, on the airwaves of wireless carrier Vodafone, and also made it to Three UK's lineup,

However, those users who would like to purchase it without having to commit to a contract agreement, and who would also like to have the device unlocked, have now the possibility to do so.

Online retailer Clove has added the HTC Sensation to its offering, with a price tag of £498 attached to it.

For some, the upfront cost might seem pretty high, but the high-end hardware capabilities the phone was packed with would make it worth every penny.

The mobile phone is listed on Amazon UK as well, for only £464.99 SIM-free and unlocked, but stock will be available only starting with June 29th, it seems.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the HTC Sensation was launched with a 1.2GHz application processor inside, complemented by a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a qHD resolution.

Moreover, the new device comes with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and support for 1080p HD video recording, as well as with a front facing camera for video calling.

The specifications list of the new mobile phone also includes 768 MB of RAM, along with 1GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The handset features 3G connectivity capabilities, along with WiFi and Bluetooth, built-in GPS receiver, 3,5mm headphone jack, and a 1520 mAh battery.

The new device is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and sports HTC's new Sense 3.0 user interface loaded on top of it.
