Next week, mobile phone users in the United States will have the possibility to purchase a new great Android-based mobile phone in the country, namely the HTC EVO 3D, which is already available for pre-order at wireless carrier Sprint.

The handset should arrive on the market on June 24th accompanied by the HTC EVO View 4G tablet PC, and was made available for pre-order through Sprint at $199 on contract.

However, those who would like to pay less for the device can already do so, with various third-party retailers having the HTC EVO 3D on pre-order for far less than what Sprint asks for it.

One of them would be Wirefly, which lists the mobile phone with a price tag of only $149.99 attached to it, with the signing of a two-year contract agreement with Sprint, of course.

The HTC EVO 3D is the very first Android-based mobile phone from HTC to come to the market with support for recording 3D content, courtesy of the two rear cameras it was packed with.

The dual 5-megapixel cameras on the back (capable of HD video recording in 3D) are complemented by a 1.3MP front-facing camera with support for video calling.

The rest of the mobile phone's specifications are equally impressive, such as the 4.3 inch Super LCD touchscreen display that can deliver a qHD resolution, as well as the 1.2GHz dual-core application processor it sports inside.

The handset also comes with support for 3G networks, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot capability (supports up to 8 WiFi-enabled devices), built-in GPS receiver, 1GB of built-in memory, and a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.

“The HTC EVO 3D for Sprint is America's first 4G smartphone with a 4.3" 3D qHD display that allows users to capture, record, and playback in 3D - without 3D glasses,” Wirefly notes on their website.

“With the latest version of the acclaimed HTC Sense user experience and powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread, HTC EVO 3D is ideal for users who want to both stream video and generate their own video experience to record life's moments, view them in 3D, and share them easily.

“HTC EVO 3D takes full advantage of Sprint's powerful 4G network and offers the innovation one would expect as the next benchmark device in the prestigious EVO line of devices.”
