Mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is gearing up for the release of some new. Highly appealing handsets on the market, some of the latest leaks show, and the HTC Doubleshot would be one of them.

The handset was been already spotted into the wild, said to arrive on shelves with Android and a sliding keyboard, and some more info on it is now available.

The new details on HTC Doubleshot emerged courtesy of a leaked ROM that emerged a few days ago on the Internet, and they suggest that the handset would arrive on shelves as the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide.

But there's more to it, as some specific info on the phone's capabilities were unveiled as well, the guys over at Pocketnow report in a recent article.

Apparently, HTC would pack the phone with the necessary capabilities to provide users with 1080p 3D recording capabilities, which would make it the very first handset to offer it, since already unveils 3D handsets offer only 720p 3D recording/playback.

Reportedly, the specifications list of the new device would include Qualcomm's Snapdragon MSM8660 1.2GHz Dual Core CPU, with the Adreno 220 GPU, and with 768MB RAM.

The mobile phone would arrive on shelves with a 3.7-inch LCD touchscreen display, which can deliver a WVGA resolution.

On the back, the handset should include an eight-megapixel photo snapper with 720p/1080p 3D recording capabilities (there might be 8MP dual-cameras included). There will also be a VGA resolution front facing camera for video calling.

HTC Doubleshot/myTouch 4G Slide should come with support for 3D playback too, which suggests that the display could be 3D.

Other specs of the new device would include HSDPA Category 10, which should offer download speeds of up to 14.4Mbps, as well as HSUPA Category 6, with support for upload speeds of up to 5.75Mbps.

The handset is said to include a Broadcom BCM4329-B1 chipset, which should offer Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz/5GHz connectivity options, as well as FM Receiver/Transmitter.
