Last week, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced the upcoming availability of a series of new Android-based devices running under Android, including the HTC Desire S and Incredible S, both of which were already listed at various retailers.

Soon after the initial announcement on these devices, mobile phone carriers in the UK announced plans to have some of them available on their airwaves, and Desire S was among those which would land at least at three operators in the country.

However, it seems that users would also have the possibility to purchase the device via online retailers, and that Amazon UK and Expansys UK have the mobile phone listed as available for pre-order, with shipping availability set for April 18th.

Amazon UK lists the HTC Desire S for £419.99 SIM free, while Expansys UK has it on pre-order at £429.99 (via GSM Arena).

But UK is not the only European country where the Desire S will become available for purchase, and Amazon Germany proves that through listing the smartphone on its website with a price tag of €499 attached to it.

The retailer also put another appealing HTC new smartphone on its website, the HTC Incredible S, which sports a price tag of €519. No specific info on its availability emerged.

The price different between the two is a small one, although the Desire S arrives on shelves with a 3.7-inch (WVGA 480 x 800 resolution) touchscreen display, while the Incredible S sports a 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800 resolution) Super LCD screen.

The specs list of HTC Desire S also includes 1GHz processor with 768 MB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 5 megapixel color camera with HD video recording, front-facing camera for video calls, 1.1GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, 3G connectivity, and more.

The HTC Incredible S arrives on shelves with the same 1GHz processor, 768 MB of RAM and 1.1GB internal memory, as well as with connectivity options similar to those on Desire S, but with an 8-megapixel photo snapper with 720p HD video recording.

Those interested in learning more on these devices will find the HTC Desire S listed at Amazon UK and Expansys UK here and here, respectively. Amazon Germany has the Desire S listed here, while the Incredible S can be seen here.
