Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has brought to the market in Germany yet another highly appealing Android-based mobile phone, the HTC Desire S, which was officially unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, in February.

The new mobile phone is now available for purchase SIM Free via Amazon.de, featuring a price tag of EUR 452.85 and benefiting from free shipping.

According to the retailer, those would order the handset today should expect it to be delivered as soon as tomorrow, Wednesday, March 30th. The mobile phone is in stock today.

The new Android-based handset was unveiled to the world as the successor of HTC's popular Desire smartphone, which was launched on the market last year.

“What happens when you take a multi award-winning smartphone like HTC Desire and improve it?” the handset vendor notes on its website.

“You end up with HTC Desire S, showcasing a spacious 3.7 inch screen, a stronger and slimmer unibody design, with a heightened sense of intelligence, speed and clarity. It's reliability on a whole new level.”

HTC Desire S comes to the market with a 3.7-inch touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, a 1 GHz application processor inside, complemented by 768 MB of RAM and 1.1 GB of internal memory.

The handset also comes with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, as well as with WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth capabilities, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, or GPS receiver.

On the back, the smartphone sports a 5 megapixel color camera with auto focus and power LED flash, which is capable of recording HD videos. It would also come with HD video playback capabilities.
