The first photo of the supposed HTC EVO for Europe leaked yesterday thanks to the guys over Uwants. Tagged as HTC Desire HD, the device was just a rumor until today, when 247Android website also posted a clip of the rumored device. Also named HTC Ace, the device is expected to be announced officially by the end of the year.

The HTC Desire HD is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor and comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo) out of the box. It boasts a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch capabilities and an 8.0-megapixel camera monster with 720p HD video capture capabilities. The leaked spec sheet also includes support the XviD format video playback, SRS Audio Technology, Face tracking, support for Adobe Flash 10.1, E-book reader, as well as 4 GB internal memory and microSD slot card for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The device showed in the clip looks slim and stylish, and slightly bigger than the original HTC Desire. Highly appealing thanks to the integrated aluminum body, the HTC Desire HD follows the successful Desire, which is still hot on sale on the European market. As usual, movies are surfacing on the Internet right after the pictures of a rumored device are leaking, and we will probably get more info in the coming weeks.

HTC EVO is a CDMA smartphone, which is currently offered by Sprint carrier, one of the best devices sold by the US-based network operator. It seems that the Taiwanese manufacturer had in plan long ago, to launch a GSM version of the device on the European market. The prove stays in the HTC roadmap for 2010, which leaked at the beginning of July and mentioned the HTC Ace.

There are no information about price or the possible launching date yet, but we will most likely know more in the coming weeks.
