The two devices will cost INR 35,000 and INR 17,000, respectively

Today, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC announced the release of its HTC One X and One V smartphones for the market in India starting with April 2nd.

The two devices, unveiled to the world at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, feature price tags of INR 35,000 ($680 / 510 Euros) and INR 17,000 ($330 / 280 Euros), respectively, AndroidOS notes.

The new handsets have been launched in the company’s One Series, and take advantage of the latest Android platform release, along with a new flavor of HTC’s Sense UI.

HTC One X is the flagship device of the series, and is also the first smartphone from HTC to arrive on shelves with a quad-core application processor inside (a 1.5GHz Tegra 3 chip).

The handset features a 4.7-inch HD touchscreen display (1280 x 720 resolution), sports 1 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage. It is powered by an 1800 mAh battery.

Moreover, the new mobile phone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto focus, smart LED flash, and BSI sensor, capable of 1080p HD video recording. There is also a 1.3 megapixel front camera (720p for video chat).

The specs list of HTC One X also includes Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth with aptX enabled (Bluetooth 4.0), NFC, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, and DLNA capabilities for wirelessly streaming media from the phone to a compatible TV or computer.

The HTC One V was unveiled to the world with a 3.7-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, and features a 1 GHz application processor inside, complemented by 512 MB of RAM.

The phone’s specs list also shows 4 GB of internal memory (and a microSD card for storage expansion), a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus, smart LED flash, and 720p HD video recording, Beats Audio, and the usual set of connectivity options.
