The second Facebook-oriented smarpthone manufactured by HTC, the ChaCha has just been launched in India.

Until today, Android fans living in India could only purchase the HTC Salsa, which was launched in the country last month.

However, this is about to change as HTC India has recently announced the availability of the ChaCha in all HTC stores across the country, as well as authorized sellers.

Furthermore, it appears that Tata Docomo will also retail the HTC ChaCha and will offer those purchasing the smartphone, and living in its network coverage area, a free 3GB of data valid for three months and free mobile TV for 3 hours.

HTC ChaCha will be available in three different colors (Black, Purple and White) for a suggested retail price of Rs. 15,990 (about $360).

When it comes to hardware, HTC ChaCha is no different than the Salsa, which is already available in India, though the latter is priced much higher at Rs. 20,000 (about $450).

To recap, the HTC ChaCha is equipped with a single core 800 Mhz processor and runs Google's Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) platform.

The Facebook-centric phone offers users the ultimate social network experience thanks to the dedicated button that lets users instantly share almost anything with their friends via Facebook.

The ChaCha packs 512 MB ROM, 512 MB RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

In addition, the smartphone sports an average 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and face detection, as well as a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

Unlike the HTC Salsa that only features a touchscreen display, the ChaCha features a full portrait QWERTY keyboard that goes along with a small 2.6-inch multi-touch display with 262k colors support and 480 x 320 pixels resolution.

The phone's standard 1250 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide users with up to 430 hours (660 hours for 3G) of standby time or up to 7 hours and 30 minutes (7 hours for 3G) of talk time.
