Back in January, around the time of the CES debut, the world's leading PC vendor announced a refresh to its line of business-focused laptops, introducing no less than four new EliteBook models. On that account, the outfit has kept his promise and has just updated its website with the product pages of said systems, enabling consumers to place their orders for these business-oriented portable systems.

Designed for people that generally spend a lot of time in the office, the new solutions will provide consumers with a choice for Core i7 or Core 2 Duo processors, mixed with a number of other features, meant to deliver a high-quality computing experience. Available in 14-inch (8440p and 8440w), as well as 15.6-inch (8540p or 8540w) models, the new EliteBook series will include options for Intel's Core i5-520M or the more powerful Core i7-820QM.

These systems can also be configured with 2GB of DDR3 memory and top off at 16GB of RAM, while in the storage segment, users will be able to take advantage of the 256GB of performance available on an SSD unit. The models with the letter w in their naming scheme will be available with the NVIDIA Quadro FX graphics chip, featuring 1GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory, a solution designed to provide the necessary performance to professional users.

The lowest-priced model starts at just US$979, according to the outfit's web page. The EliteBook 8440p offers a choice for the aforementioned Core i5 processor, a 14-inch LED backlit HD display, 2GB of DDR3 memory, integrated Intel graphics, wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity and a Windows XP. Depending on configuration, these systems can easily reach prices of around US$2500, but such options have better components resulting in a boost of overall performance.

If you are on the lookout for a new laptop, head over to HP's website and choose the configuration that best fits your requirements.
