Although HP is the world's most important computer manufacturer, the company's also seriously considering the future of education, and that's exactly the reason why the company has recently unveiled a whole lineup of digital devices targeting specifically classrooms. According to the company, the HP Digital Learning suite, as this lineup has been officially called, includes tailored solutions focused on three areas, namely early childhood and elementary education (pre-K-4), secondary education (grades 5-12) and blended learning environments and the cloud (pre-K-12).

Some of the most interesting products included in this lineup are the HP Digital Sketch, that wirelessly connects to a teacher's notebook or desktop to allow control of the lesson plan while walking around the classroom, or the HP Pocket Whiteboard, that is apparently capable of turning any classroom surface into an interactive learning space.

Additional elements of this new product series include the HP MultiSeat t150, a thin client that enables up to 10 students to simultaneously share a single host computer using a simple USB connection, as well as the HP Presentation Station 1000, that lets teachers move anywhere in the classroom to deliver a collaborative curriculum.

Last, but certainly not least, it's important to mention that HP also developed 20-Notebook Charging Cart and 20- and 30-Notebook Managed Charging Carts, used for easy charging and maintenance of the portable computing systems employed within the digital education process.

"HP and our partners have a long history of transforming how we educate our youth, from K-12 all the way through higher education," said Stephen DeWitt, senior vice president and general manager, Personal Systems Group – Americas, HP.

"We are bringing to life a compelling suite of education solutions and connected devices that will better prepare students for whatever environment they'll face – in school and out," the company's official concluded, not providing any information on the pricing of the aforementioned solutions, all of which are slated to become available in Q1 and Q2 2011.
