HP has recently introduced a wide range of notebooks based on AMD's just released Llano accelerated processing units and this list also includes the Pavilion g-series laptops built for everyday computing.

This notebook range is comprised of three notebook models, which feature mostly the same configuration options, but use three different form factors ranging from 14-inch to 17.3-inch in size.

All the laptops can be configured with various AMD A-Series dual-core and quad-core APU options, and these can be seconded by as much as 8GB of DDR3 system memory as well as by a Radeon HD discrete graphics card.

This is configured to work in an Hybrid CrossFireX configuration together with the on-board Llano GPU in order to deliver improved graphics performance when required.

In addition, the Pavilion g-series notebooks can also be configured with various HDD options which can provide a maximum of 750GB of storage space, a Blu-ray combo optical drive, as well as with Bluetooth connectivity.

The screens used for the 14 and 15-inch notebook models sport a 1366x768 resolution, while the HP Pavilion g7t can display 1600x900 pixels. All three models come with Altec-Lansing speakers and SRS Surround Sound.

“HP and AMD’s relationship continues to evolve as we collaboratively make strides to benefit customers through outstanding technology innovation and improved performance,” said Leslie Sobon, corporate vice president, Worldwide Marketing, AMD.

“AMD Fusion APUs offer the perfect mix of power, performance and brilliant graphics to enable the next generation of digital experiences, while Vision Technology from AMD simplifies the PC purchasing experience,” concluded the company's rep.
