The first Llano-powered Pavilion dv-Series notebooks made their appearance in the wild quite a bit before the official launch of AMD's Sabine platform, and now HP has finally made this notebooks official.

The Pavilion dv-Series includes three models that range in size between 14 and 17 inch, the dv4, dv6 and dv7, and all of these will soon be available with AMD A-Series accelerated processing units.

HP will offer its customers the possibility of choosing between various quad and dual-cores APUs and these can be paired with a discrete graphics card in a Hybrid CrossFireX mode to offer added graphics performance, if so required.

In addition, the notebooks can also be configured to include as much as 16GB of system memory and hard drives with up to 1TB of storage capacity (the dv7 can include two such drives).

Screen options vary depending on the size of the notebook's display and range form a 1366x768 resolution panel in the dv4 up to a Full HD HP anti-glare LED display on the 15.6-inch dv5.

The dv7 is available with a single BrightView LED backlit screen option, which sports a resolution of 1600x900 pixels.

Most connectivity features are common to all three notebooks and include 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi with optional Bluetooth support, Gigabit LAN, an eSATA port and an HDMI video output.

“HP is dedicated to providing customers a choice when it comes to notebook computing,” said Ted Clark, senior vice president and general manager, Notebook Global Business Unit, Personal Systems Group, HP.

“As the worldwide leader in notebook sales, HP continues to develop customizable, reliable and affordable PCs with innovative designs suited for on-the-go consumers to corporate road warriors,” concluded the company's official.

The Pavilion dv6 and dv7 are expected to be available in July with prices starting at $599.99 and $699.99, respectively. The price of the HP Pavilion dv4 wasn't announced.
