We're pretty sure that just about everyone who's ever hit the slopes during winter is quite familiar with the Rossignol name, the company producing a very large number of accessories for winter sports, from skis and boards to...HP notebooks (well, the later is just a collaboration, of course). To be perfectly honest, yours truly had somewhat of an unfortunate experience with a pair of Rossignol skis, avoiding a direct impact with a tree only by a few inches while wearing a pair, only to hit a big lump of snow a few meters away (of course, the respective incident wasn't caused by any problems the skis might have had, but about the author's sheer lack of experience).

Anyway, moving back to the issue at hand, as DigitalTrends informs us, it seems that HP's continuing its trend of launching special edition notebooks suited for certain specific times of the year with the release of the HP Pavilion dv6 Rossignol edition notebooks.

The HP dv6 Rossignol Edition Laptops come with Intel Core i5 processor, 15.6″ LED HP Brightview display, 500GB hard drive, 4 USB 2.0 ports and DVD-RW Drive.

Commenting on the launch of the new portable computing systems, Jean-Pierre LeCalvez, vice-president, marketing, HP Personal Systems Group, EMEA, said: “Winter sports fans are looking for new ways to express their style and make a statement. Performance technology sits at the heart of the snow sports lifestyle, so it’s logical to extend the Rossignol design ethos to the new HP Pavilion dv6 Rossignol edition."

"It delivers great design and reliable performance with software to help share experiences and stay connected,” concluded HP's rep.

As you might have guessed already, the HP Pavilion dv6 Rossignol edition notebooks will only be available in a limited edition, starting to sell in Europe in January for around 700 Euro.
