It seems that HP is as eager as ever to deliver new computing solutions, as the company has just added to its website a certain notebook belonging to the G Series and which has a starting price of $530 after a $100 instant rebate.

HP is just as mindful of its PC portfolio as ever, even though it did just announce it would spend more on software.

For those interested in a reminder, the world's top supplier of personal computers plans to go on a so-called 'investment spree.'

Basically, it seeks to increase its dominance over the consumer market by acquiring and developing new software.

Meanwhile, it has put together a new PC, a notebook in this case, which can merge the benefits of Intel processing and AMD graphics.

The G62x has a configuration built around either of the Intel Core i3-350M or 23-370M central processing units.

The CPU's Integrated Intel HD graphics can have full control over the 15.6-inch LED Brightview display, whose native resolution is of 1,366 x 768 pixels and which uses the 16:9 aspect ratio.

There is also the option of adding an AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5470 discrete card.

Furthermore, storage is provided by a hard disk drive of 250/320/500GB, while a SuperMulti 8x DVD unit handles the optical storage and even multimedia playback side of things.

Other specifications include a 5-in-1 card reader, Altec Lansing speakers, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and an optional webcam.

Finally, all of the hardware is kept operational by a 6-cell battery and the company made sure to have Windows 7 Home Premium pre-loaded onto the machine.

Those seeking to get a first-hand view of the specifications need only stop by the official website. As for actually buying it, the G62x goes for at least $530, after the aforementioned $100 instant rebate.
