HP’s first Ultrabook design, the Folio 13, went on sale just now with an US based retailer who listed the ultrathin at $703 (roughly €526) for a limited time only, making it a great deal when compared with HP’s original $899 MSRP.

The discount comes courtesy of LogicBuy when using the NBK3573 coupon code and is available only for today or until supplies last.

For this much money users will get the Folio 13 with an Intel ultra-low power Core i5-2467M processor packing dual computing cores which is seconded by 4GB of system memory and a 128GB mSATA SSD.

Power is provided by a six-cell battery that HP states it can last for up to 9 hours, which should make the Folio 13 quite an interesting option if it can deliver on this promise.

All of this hardware is fitted inside an 18mm (0.7 inches) thick chassis weighting 3.3 pounds (1.49Kg) that also includes the 13.3-inch BrightView display with a native resolution of 1366x768 pixels.

The port selection is also fairly robust with USB 3.0, HDMI, Ethernet, and USB 2.0, while a memory card reader and a combined headphone/mic jack round up the list.

USB 3.0 connectivity is certainly a nice touch to be added by HP to the Folio 13, but if we were to choose our favorite feature this would be the backlit keyboard, since this is one option that is lacking to the majority of the Ultrabooks available out there.

We’re also glad to see that HP has included support for Intel’s Wireless Display technology.

Customers who want a more specific configuration of their Folio 13 can also use the coupon code above to get a 33% discount from the final price of their setup, just make sure to follow the instructions posted on the LogicBuy website.
