Soon after the official introduction of AMD's A-Series accelerated processing units based on the Llano architecture, HP has announced an impressive range of models that will use these new chips, including the ProBook s-series laptops.

These are available in three configurations, which feature nearly identical system specs, outside of the display diagonal, since this measures 14-inch in the 4435s and 4436s and 15.6-inch in the 4535s.

Despite the increased screen size, the 4535s includes the same 1366x768 anti-glare panel as the 14-inch models, and no upgrade options are available for users who require higher pixel densities.

However, HP does allow its customers to choose from two different AMD APUs, the A4-330MX and the A6-3400MX, the first one coming as a dual-core 2.1GHz base and 2.5GHz Turbo part, while the latter includes four processing cores clocked at 1.6GHz (2.3GHz max Turbo).

Both of these processors feature integrated graphics, but the 4436s and 4535s can also be paired with a Radeon HD discrete graphics card, which can be setup to work in CrossFireX mode with the on-die GPU.

The AMD accelerated processing units can be seconded by as much as 8GB of DDR3-1333 system memory.

Storage is provided by a single hard disk drive, users can choose between various 7200RPM and 5400RPM models with a maximum capacity of 750GB, and the s-series ProBook laptops also packs an optical disk drive.

Connectivity options include 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a 56K v.92 modem, USB 3.0, DisplayPort, eSATA and VGA ports.

In addition, the HP ProBook 4535s can be configured to feature mobile broadband support, HSPA+ or EV-DO/HSPA.

All the three models feature a scratch resistant aluminum chassis, an optional HD webcam and a fingerprint sensor.

Just as the ProBook b-series we detailed previously, the 4435s, 4436s and 4535s notebooks are expected to become available on June 27. Pricing will start at $519.
