T-Mobile USA customers who purchased an HD2 handset from the wireless carrier can now download and install a software update for their devices. This is the same solution that was released into the wild a couple of weeks ago only to be pulled off the carrier's website shortly after. According to the company, the issue was with its servers, and, since all things are in order now, the software update is here to stay.

“Due to overwhelming demand, some customers experienced slow download times when attempting to access the HTC HD2 software update from the T-Mobile Web site. As a result, we temporarily removed the link from our Web site to ensure the best possible customer experience. Now that we have solved our server issues, we are happy to announce that the software update for the HTC HD2 is now available on the T-Mobile Web site for customers to download and install on their HTC HD2 smartphone,” the wireless carrier announced via its forums.

At the same time, the company notes that those who already downloaded and installed the software update on their handsets should continue to use their HD2 units as normal. Interestingly enough, other issues that were reported in regard to this update are discharged, as the company says that they either represent normal behavior, or are caused by faulty settings. Some of those who downloaded and installed the solution on the phone experienced various problems, and, as soon as the update was removed from T-Mobile's website, some suggested that the carrier acknowledged these issues and that it was working on resolving them.

One way or the other, the software solution is back on the server, and those interested in getting it on their HTC HD2 should go to this page to download it. Hopefully, no new problems caused by the update will be reported, and T-Mobile's customers will be able to enjoy to the full all the great features the high-end smartphones come around with.
