Players who are interested in flight sims will be looking forward to tomorrow, February 11, as Ubisoft is getting ready to release the demo version of its combat simulation Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X., the first game set to be a part of the larger universe based on the techno thriller of the well-known author.

The demo should contain two missions taken from the full game. The first of them is called Operation: Off Certification and is basically a training sequence that will show players how to handle the game and the various planes simulated in it, while the second is dubbed Operation: Glass Hammer and will put the player in the middle of dog fights which will happen over Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Players will be able to fly three combat planes in the demo of H.A.W.X.: the F-16A Fighting Falcon, the SU-35 Super Flanker and the AV-8B Harrier II. Gamers will be able to get into four player co-op in the demo.

H.A.W.X is set to be straddling the line between simulation and arcade. It will have various auto pilot and assist options set to make flying easier but experienced players can turn them off in order to get a harder challenge.

Microsoft is saying that the H.A.W.X. demo is exclusive to the Xbox 360, so PlayStation 3 users will not have access to it. But there's hope for them as the demos for Skate 2, which is now out, and for Resident Evil 5, which is focused on shooting black zombies, were also said to be “exclusive” to the Xbox 360 and they still arrived on the Sony made home console a few days later.

Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. is set to be released on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 on March 6 and will be the first time a high profile flight simulator makes an appearance in a long period. Let's hope it turns out to be a good game.
