Gwyneth Paltrow may admit to working really hard to look as good as she does and to spending a lot on beauty products, but this is where she draws the line. When it comes to Botox and plastic surgery, the actress claims she’s against such “gimmicks.”

In a recent interview for a German publication, cited by Cleo, Gwyneth reveals that she’s against plastic surgery because she doesn’t believe in these “gimmicks.”

Plus, she says, she’s not that vain as to resort to shooting herself up with substances just to appear younger.

“Before I didn’t care about it. And I still refuse to use silicone, Botox or other of those gimmicks out of pure vanity,” she is quoted as saying.

Nevertheless, that’s not to say that Gwyneth wouldn’t turn to a plastic surgeon for some help at all. In fact, there is just one procedure she would consider having done – but it’s not on her face.

“But a breast correction after breast feeding – why not? There’s actually nothing else to restore the original condition, isn’t there?” she says.

Gwyneth is not the only female star to speak against plastic surgery in recent days, calling such procedures “gimmicks” or “tricks.”

In her latest Allure interview, Salma Hayek also slammed an entire generation of female stars (and not only) who resort to all kinds of things to fight signs of old age, most of the times to the most unnaturally looking results.

“I believe that every woman is entitled to fight to preserve her youth. It’s like the uniform of a generation. And it’s not necessarily beautiful. It’s not wrinkled-looking, but it’s not beautiful,” the actress said, as we also informed you a couple of days ago.

“I’ve never had anything done on my face. I’ve never had dermabrasion or peels or injections of any kind, nothing,” Salma stressed.

Ironically enough, Gwyneth is rumored to have had countless procedures on her face, including a mini-lift and lots of Botox and fillers.
