The music game genre recorded a massive surge in popularity last year, as more and more people started to realize just how much entertainment value titles like Guitar Hero or Rock Band had. These games give players the opportunity to rock out with their family and friends, envisioning themselves in the most famous concert halls of the world, all without having to leave the comfort of their own living room.

Among the music games, Guitar Hero is being credited as the one that started it all, by placing them in the mainstream of gaming. Now, it seems that rockers will have yet another reason to be extremely happy, as after Activision announced the songs that would appear this month for the latest iteration in the series, Guitar Hero: World Tour, it revealed yesterday that the full Dig Out Your Soul album of the extremely popular band Oasis was available for download as DLC (Downloadable Content).

That's right, in addition to the album tracks that were already available for download, “Bag it Up,” “Waiting for the Rapture” and “The Shock of the Lightning,” would-be rockers will get a chance to play songs like “The Turning,” “I’m Outta Time,” “(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady,” “Falling Down,” “To Be Where There’s Life,” “Ain’t Got Nothin’,” “The Nature of Reality” and “Soldier On.”

The full album will be available for download for 18.99 dollars or 1520 Microsoft Points, depending on whether you download it for the PlayStation 3 or the Xbox 360. Individual prices, for all of the top three consoles, the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, are 1.99 dollars or 160 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points.

All in all, these songs are bound to satisfy a lot of rockers and will surely make them download this album. But if you're not into Oasis, there are plenty of other songs that will be unveiled this month that might stir up your interest.
