14 DAY TRIAL // A little over a week ago, only a handful of people knew who Greyson Michael Chance was. Then, a video he had posted on his YouTube channel, singing and playing the piano on Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi,” got picked up by the music media and this 12-year-old boy became the hottest commodity on the market. Next week, Wednesday May 26, Greyson will return on the Ellen DeGeneres show, as he confirms on his Twitter page.
This would be his second time as a guest, Ellen asking him on the show only a day after his video of “Paparazzi” went viral and registered over 10 million views in just hours. Ellen was not only quick to act on it, but she was also very inspired to get Lady Gaga herself on the phone, who personally congratulated Greyson for his talent and incredible achievements despite his young age.
Also then, the hitmaker offered the young singer a piece of advice if he wanted to pursue a career in music: “stay away from girls,” she said, to which Greyson duly blushed as Ellen chuckles aside. For the upcoming episode, Ellen will be doing some traveling, as she takes cameras into the Chance residence, to show all those millions of supporters out there how this unlikely superstar lives his life. “I have a busy week ahead of me. Last day of school tomorrow, and going back to LA. I will be on Ellen show again on Wednesday :)” Greyson tweeted a few hours ago.
“Ellen just can’t stop thinking about GREYSON CHANCE! Since she featured the amazing 12-year-old, his YouTube video has received over 27 million views! Ellen sent cameras to his home in Oklahoma so we could all get to know him a little better. She’ll show it to you when he’s here today,” a post on Ellen’s official webpage writes. On Twitter too, the television personality is actively promoting Greyson, telling her followers to head over to Greyson’s official page of which she knows because “we’re friends.”
