While the Mugen 4 looked mostly tame, this one does not

Scythe seems to like leaving its potential customers flabbergasted by occasionally revealing a cooler that has a shape best described by the word “bizarre.”

We aren't talking about the Mugen 4. That one actually looks ordinary.

The product we have in our sights now is called Grand Kama Cross 2 (model: SCKC-3000) and has two large aluminum fin stacks arranged mid-way between a “V” and an “X.”

Four copper heatpipes, which come together like interlinked fingers (or claws) hold the heatsinks in that position, and are affixed to a nickel-plated copper base too.

A single fan sits above the whole thing, measuring 140mm in diameter and capable of 37.37 to 97.18 CFM of air (rotary speed of 500 to 1,300 RPM).

Like Mugen 4, it will sell starting April 24 for 4,980¥ (US $50 / 38 Euro).
