Only they're a little picky about who's in on the deal and who's not

Sony's started sending registration forms to PS3 users, for them to sign up for the PlayStation Home beta stage. The email says that "Space is extremely limited," as I found on 1UP today. Now, although the emails are scarce (just a bunch of people have received them so far), signing up won't even guarantee your spot among the testers. "WHAT" you say? That's right.

Sony's so picky about this whole Home beta stage thing that, not only do they send out just a few emails, but they select just a few of those. What, are they keeping track of loyal Playstation gamers or something? How do they know who's entitled to carry out beta testing and who's not? Guess it has something to do with filling out that form, huh? A couple of months ago there was word of 2 sessions of beta testing: the first, between April - August, with 15.000 users and the second, between August - October, hosting 50.000 users.

Adding that only a handful of PS3 owners will participate in the beta, that handful of gamers will also have to be US or Canadian residents, over 18 years of age, which kind of confirms the rumor that PlayStation Home may be a gateway to sexy content.

Have you received your email yet? Completed the form already you say? Good, now tell me, did Sony by any chance ask you whether you've participated in beta testing trials before? If yes, you may have found your answer to the limited amount of PS3 owners allowed to use it before October.
