Even though the final product launches in fall, PS3 owners may already subscribe

By now, everybody knows that Sony is soon launching their social service entitled PlayStation Home. In order to get things started and on track, first of all Sony will launch the PlayStation Home Beta Trial website. This will mean a large scale beta for the service, where you, as a PS3 owner and faithful fan, will register. Yet, Sony doesn't say anything about users having to do with anything, they just want them to become subscribers.

It is said that PlayStation home is going to be something like the Second Life sim. This is probably what they're betting on, in order for you to "subscribe your interest". The virtual world of the PS3 will also have customizable avatars and achievements, users will be able to play casual games or chat using audio or typed messages. The final product will be released this fall and although large scale beta testing will commence as soon as April, Sony wants to make sure everybody is "enrolled."

You can't blame them really, what else are they going to tell people to do? "Don't sign up just yet, we haven't fixed all the bugs?" Of course they're going to try and attract PS3 owners and owners-to-become. Besides, the PlayStation Home service sounds more promising than anything related to the PS3 so far. It won't be long before users find a way to make it a gateway to the world of sex also, as it resembles life sims quite a lot; so, get ready for a Sony labeled winner this fall. Until then, check out their PlayStation Home Beta Trial website.
