Both regarding connectivity and support services

Search engine-based company Google and wireless carrier T-Mobile USA admitted to issues the newly launched Nexus One by HTC Android phone comes around with. There have been a lot of early adopters of the device who complained about connectivity problems with Nexus One, and it seems that the two companies are currently looking into the matter so as to fix them.

“Google and T-Mobile are investigating this issue and hope to have more information for you soon. We understand your concern and appreciate your patience,” a post on T-Mobile's forum notes. At the same time, the carrier asked users to provide details on the issues they experience with the device, while also posting info on the area they are located.

As many of you might have learned already from our previous report on this, the handset is said to experience problems when it comes to connecting to T-Mobile's 3G network. Users experience either lack of 3G connectivity, or continuous switches between the EDGE and 3G connectivity. However, it seems that not all areas where T-Mobile provides 3G coverage are affected by the problem.

In addition to this, there were users who complained about the customer support services regarding the Nexus One. The handset is being sold directly by Google, but T-Mobile is the carrier that offers support for it on its network, and it seems that things are a little confusing when it comes to issues with the device, for users don't know exactly who they need to contact.

Andy Rubin, director of mobile platforms at Google, has recently acknowledged this problem too. “We have to get better at customer service,” he said, adding that Google currently has no direct customer service support by phone, and that it takes a long time before an email response is sent. Google is known to plan selling more devices via its web store in the future, which means that it will probably look out for a solution to this issue in the near future, so stay tuned to learn the details on this.
