Another one bites the dust

Apparently, even if you manage to get your hands on a PS3, you won't have so many games that you can play. Sonic the Hedgehog has been delayed, NBA Live 07 also, and now, here comes word that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will also be pushed.

GameSpot reveals a statement of Pete Hines, Bethesda's PR vice-president, in which he confirms that the PS3 version of Oblivion is now a Q1 2007 title. This is the second time Oblivion is delayed, as so was the case with the Xbox 360 version of the game. At first, a November 2005 launch was set but Bethesda rescheduled it for March 2006.

This was the bad news, so let's get on with the good news. A release date for Knights of Nine, the Oblivion expansion, was finally confirmed. Bethesda clarified that the Knights of Nine expansion pack will be available on November 21 for the PC and that it will arrive on the Xbox Live Marketplace on the same date. Also, the standalone version of Knights of Nine will be available from Oblivion Downloads on December 4 for US$ 9.99.

If you are interested to know what exactly Knights of Nine will bring new, know that it will include an all-new faction and a new quest. Players will have to face a sorcerer-king and his minions while searching for legendary artifacts.
