Golden Voice Ted Williams goes to rehab for drugs and alcohol after altercation with daughter

Only hours after getting into an altercation with his daughter, Ted Williams, or simply put Golden Voice, was on Entertainment Tonight, denying allegations he’d relapsed into booze. Even later, he was on his way to rehab.

Williams’ amazing journey began less than 2 weeks ago, when he became an Internet sensation for having said Golden Voice. At the time, he was homeless.

In interviews to the media, Ted said he once had a family, a job and a regular life, but he saw it all go down the drain when he started drinking and even doing drugs.

However, he insisted, he’d been clean for many years. Becoming famous overnight made him turn back to alcohol, which, in turn, led to the altercation we were telling you of the other day, which saw him in the hands of the LA cops.

Hours after the fight, Williams was talking to Dr. Phil for ET, saying his daughter had attacked him and that he was basically innocent, as the video below will also confirm.

His daughter, on the other hand, said that Williams was drinking again – and had been doing so ever since becoming famous, which played a very important part in the altercation because it had made him violent.

Dr. Phil eventually got Ted to admit he had a problem – and to seek professional help in rehab, lest he lost the unique chance he was offered to make a fortune with his voice, the New York Daily News writes.

“He admitted he was not as sober as he claimed to be and that he was ready to get help,” a source close to Dr. Phil says for the NY Daily News.

“If Ted is ever going to get better, he’s got to be honest with himself and admit he’s addicted to drugs and alcohol,” Dr. Phil too says in a statement for the same media outlet.

“Everyone is pulling for Ted, but his 15 minutes are going to be over and then he’ll be left to manage a life filled with temptation,” the television personality adds.

Below is a segment from the interview Dr. Phil conducted with both Ted Williams and his daughter hours after they were detained by police for getting into a fight.
