14 DAY TRIAL // Ted Williams, who, until some weeks ago, was a homeless man who made a few bucks by impressing motorists with his “golden voice,” will be getting his own reality show after becoming an overnight star thanks to YouTube.
TMZ reports that Williams has already signed a deal on the show, which will focus on – what else – his second chance at life and fortune using his God-given gift, his amazing voice.
The show will probably also include more details on his recent stint in rehab and the family incident that sent him off the wagon again.
The contract has already been signed, as noted above, and shooting is scheduled to start in about two weeks’ time, which means one may expect a fall premiere.
No word yet on which network will be carrying it.
“Ted’s rep tells us the show will be called ‘Second Chances at Life’ – which will document how Mr. ‘Golden Voice’ went from a promising radio career to living on the streets... to becoming a YouTube sensation,” TMZ reports.
“The series will also follow Ted's life as he battles to rebuild his career and personal life,” the same e-zine notes.
“We’re told the show will be shot in three different locations: Brooklyn (his hometown), Ohio (where he was homeless) and Los Angeles... where he’s been hanging out at expensive restaurants,” TMZ says.
However, this is not all about Mr. Williams, because he’ll also be using his second chance to help others who may be finding themselves in similar situations.
The same rep tells TMZ that plans are already in motion to start work on season 2 as soon as possible but this one, for a change, will not focus on Ted.
“And that’s not all: Ted's rep says they’re already planning season two – when they’ll introduce other people who deserve a second chance,” TMZ says.
Air date and network are yet to be announced but, if shooting kicks off in a fortnight, more details on this are bound to emerge soon, so keep an eye on this space for when they do.
