The industry is getting ready for the awards season, to celebrate the crème de la crème in TV and film. Just minutes ago, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced in a live ceremony the nominations for the Golden Globes 2012.

While they're considered a good indicator of what the Academy Awards will bring, the Globes don't honor only achievements in film, but in television as well.

The complete list of nominations in TV is below, at the end of the article.

As in previous years, the 69th edition of the Globes also features heavily nods for “Boardwalk Empire” and “The Good Wife,” both of which are now fixtures on awards shows.

As such, Steve Buscemi of “Boardwalk Empire” is going neck and neck for Best Actor in a TV Series – Drama with Bryan Cranston of “Breaking Bad,” Kelsey Grammar, Damian Lewis and Jeremy Irons.

Julianna Marguilies of “The Good Wife,” on the other hand, landed a nod for Best Actress in a TV Series – Drama. She will have to compete for the title with Claire Danes, Madeleine Stowe, Callie Thorne and Mireille Enos.

In other words, there were few surprises this year with the Globes nominations, as we were also telling you a short while ago, when presenting the noms in film.

The awards show will take place on January 15, 2012 and will air live on NBC. Ricky Gervais will host again and, if you think last year's controversy was too much, you should know he promised he'd go completely over the top in 2012 and be even more outrageous.
