Yet another illegal initiative spoils the fun

Yeah, they've done it again! After waiting for the game's official (and limited edition) UMD demo for months, it's finally available for those few people who registered on the official site of the game. PlayStation Underground members were able to register for their free UMD and their only limitation was the supplies of demos. Since the rest of the world feels frustrated by the fact that only a couple of gamers were able to play Kratos' latest adventure, it seems that some hackers managed to pull out the game's content from the UMD and deliver it with the aid of those torrent sites.

It's as illegal as it gets, but there's no stop in them, as those guys also ruined our gaming experience by releasing the Silent Hill Origins demo on torrent sites, a couple of days before its official display at GC 07. The full game will be released in March and I have a feeling that it will also be hacked and made available before the official launch date. Sony tried to avoid such issues by banning homebrewers from their official site and by criticizing the gamers who used illegal copies of the PSP titles.

Wouldn't it have been easier to register and get your own God of War: Chains of Olympus UMD demo than using illegal methods to get to play the game? Kratos lands on the PSP ready to make a good impression, speculating the fanbase of the first two games of the series. Illegal stuff aside, we really envy those lucky owners of the demo and I wonder if they've already finished the demo. Keep in mind that this release also includes a bonus level - "The Cave of Eos", which was not available in the original press-only demo.

*Note: Please remember that Softpedia doesn't support illegal activities like modding consoles or downloading games from torrent sites.
