Cory Barlog reveals

Not all of us can get a next-gen console right now. Some of us can't afford to purchase one yet, others can't find one. So we are stuck with the previous generation of consoles, namely the PS2 or the GameCube. But don't worry; there still are some great games to be played on these consoles, God of War II being one of them.

By the looks of it, you won't have to wait long before you can become Kratos again, if we are to believe Cory Barlog, the director of God of War II. He is blogging again and explains that a demo for the game should be out soon: "We are going to be breaking off the demo code pretty soon and tuning the final tuning pass on the demo level so that is pretty damn exciting. It means that those of you who emailed earlier about the demo will soon be holding your sweet copy of the God of War 2 Demo&looking all bad ass and glistening in the sun&the demo...not you. Of course if you choose to oil yourself up before playing the demo that is your business...I am not here to judge".

That doesn't reveal when exactly the disc will come, but I guess you can start oiling up right about now. The full game is rumored to come out in April, but as of December 22, the development team finished the beta version of the game. They finished the alpha version of God of War II back in October, if that's of any comfort to you.
