Glu Mobile has closed an agreement with PopCap Games in order to publish three more of the company's mobile game titles. This deal will result in bringing three of PopCap's most appreciated games, Zuma, AstroPop and Insaniquarium on mobile phones everywhere.

As a result of the agreement between the two companies, Glu will publish from now on too these mobile game titles on an even larger list of carriers around the world. Up to this point, Glu has collaborated with more than 150 carriers and distribution partners in 65 countries for making a large number of games available for challenging gameplay.

"We've seen both commercial and critical success in the games we've published for mobile, and we look forward to continued success with bringing these great games to a growing global audience of mobile gamers", said Jill Braff, senior vice president of global publishing at Glu. In this context, "PopCap has pioneered the online casual game space and was one of the first online developers to recognize that mobile is a logical extension for online titles and would be key to extending consumer awareness and adoption", Jill Braff further observed.

PopCap Games has also reached the same conclusion regarding the most successful games and the most appreciated by mobile gamers up to this point. "Casual games have proven to be among the most successful genres on the mobile platform," said Jason Kapalka, co-founder and chief creative officer, PopCap Games.

Zuma mobile makes the headline for this release. It was launched two years ago and it is still one of the most addictive game concepts ever developed. It managed to win several awards, including the BREW People's Choice Award in 2006 and IGN.com's award for Best Puzzle Game of 2005. Such a history and the appreciation of a huge number of people are bound to make a success out of this game even on the new markets.
