14 DAY TRIAL // Gisele Bundchen is a mommy again. The stunning supermodel, who already has a boy with husband Tom Brady, gave birth to a baby girl two days ago, as she proudly announces on her Facebook page.
The two have been married since 2009 and, unlike the first time they were expecting, refused to comment on the second pregnancy, even after it became clear that Gisele was sporting a baby bump.
Now, they’re sharing the happy news with fans, with Gisele writing a few words to announce the happy event and including a photo of the girl’s tiny hand in her own, which you can also see attached to this article.
Like many other celebrities before her, Gisele is using social media to keep her fans up to speed, thus making the old “send out a statement through a publicist” method obsolete.
Word of her having given birth had broken online just shortly before she confirmed it.
“We feel so lucky to have been able to experience the miracle of birth once again and are forever grateful for the opportunity to be the parents of another little angel,” the proud mommy gushes.
“Vivian Lake was born at home on December 5. She is healthy and full of life. Thank you all for your support and well wishes. We wish you and your families many blessings,” Gisele adds.
As noted above, Vivian Lake is not the couple’s first child, while also being Tom’s third.
Gisele is just one of many celebrities who use social media today to offer fans personal details about themselves, a job that would have required a publicist a couple of years ago.
Just today, for instance, singer Shakira made headlines after her boyfriend Gerard Pique posted on Twitter and WhoSay an ultrasound photo of their baby boy.
Shakira is now expecting her first child, having confirmed the pregnancy in September.
