14 DAY TRIAL // Shakira and Gerard Pique have tried to keep their romance as under wraps as possible ever since they first started dating but it clearly seems that imminent parenthood is really getting them to open up a bit more.
The photo attached to this article is the first ultrasound photo of Shakira and Gerard’s baby boy, as shared by the Spanish footballer on his WhoSay account.
It’s accompanied by the line, “His first pic! #excited #cute.” Cute indeed.
Just a few days ago, Shakira also made headlines after posting a photo on her own Twitter feed, of herself cuddling in the arms of her handsome boyfriend, with the sweet caption, “I could have another nine months like this.”
Shakira and Gerard announced the pregnancy in September, saying the singer would be taking some time off to enjoy the experience fully, which also meant the cancelation of some previously scheduled shows and events.
Now that we know they’re having a boy, let the guessing games begin on what they’re going to name him.
While Shakira has definitely moved on with her life with Gerard, with whom she’s getting ready to start a family, her ex-boyfriend and former business partner, Antonio de la Rua, is taking her to court for alleged breach of contract and loss of profits.
In court documents filed just recently, de la Rua claims Shakira used him to get famous internationally and then, a short while after breaking up with him, also dumped him as her manager to suit the new man in her life.
He’s seeking $100 million (€77.1 million) in damages, which would amount to the share of profits he lost since he’s no longer working with the singer as her partner. Shakira is yet to respond in any way publicly to the claims made in the court filing.
